War Eagle!

My heart goes out to the Auburn faithful this morning. Our trees have stood strong and tall for nearly 200 years. Yesterday we heard the confirmation that these trees have been poisoned. These Oaks will die. The soil will take years (maybe 5) to recover from this lethal dose. So many precious memories have been made there. Sorry that my babies will miss out on such a sweet, innocent tradition. RIP Toomer's Trees. We will miss you.

Busy Day

Christopher & Memaw
at her 88th Birthday!

Christopher had his '18 month' appointment (although he's 20 mo) and did well. 3rd percentile! Hey - he's actually on the chart. 18 pounds two ounces, 30 3/4" tall and 18 HC. By her calculations, he will be a very sturdy 5'5" as an adult. Now, do we try growth hormone or let him be???

I had my 3rd HSG today as well. Tubes are clear! :) We'll see what happens next...

Dear Black Eyed Peas

I really feel bad for you. Fergie - you a so beautiful and yet, your mic still wouldn't work. However, my 4 year old appreciated the super-hero look and the awesome colors. My one year old danced his little body all over the sofa and is still sleeping (and it's 7:30am). Anyway, thank you for the half time show that was mostly family-friendly and fun. It's was a nice memory with the littles. And LivingSocial - you spent a lot of money on a silly commercial and YOU have been nominated (by me) for worst waste of money of the day. We could have saved a lot of orphans with that one...

Here goes nothing

Infertility is a tricky little thing. We have two beautiful boys - that we never dreamed we would have. God surely blessed us with such wonderful gifts. Our road to parenthood has been somewhat bumpy. Doctors scratch their heads when reading our history - filled with misdiagnosis, medications, surgeries, procedures and the ups and downs of ovulation and testing.

I have been having some very interesting cycles the past few months. I bled for nearly a full month. I got a nice, strong dose of progesterone and then had a giant mess of an AF. Just 24 days later, another pediod after days of cramping and spotting. So... Dr. S has started me on the first round (out of 3) of clomid. Hopefully this will lead to a strong ovulation and very little spotting and a regular cycle length. I seriously have no feelings about getting pregnant. I have these two beautiful boys and God can do what he wants with me. If I don't conceive, I will not be upset. I believe that we will have more babies, but I am not sure if they will be biological - and I could care less. Pregnancy and I do NOT get along well.

I would really just like to be "normal" again in the sense of having regular cycles. I will post my chart this month, so that all of you can watch and see what my body does. I have not taken my morning temp in YEARS so this should be fun.

Valentine's Day Question

What are your going to do?

Paul and I will be with then kids. Most all of the baby-sitters in our lives have plans. How dare them. LOL.

So, I need ideas.

This morning I asked Paul Vincent what I should do for Daddy. He said...'make a pillow with the family on it.'

Well, darn it - that's a great idea. Kodak does one, but I might buy a white pillow case and let PV color his family (stick people style). Paul will LOVE it.

But, since that was PV's excellent idea, I will need another one.

Brainstorm with me, please.

Every once in a while...

...you marvel at the beauty of a child. I couldn't resist and celebrate the miracle that is my little boy today. I love you, dear.

The Next "Big" Thing

Our first born son will be turning 5 in April. We are planning a trip with him - instead of a giant party with toys that he certainly does not need. I will share a few bits and pieces, but he has NO idea! Mum's the word! ;)

I am sure he will FLIP HIS LID over this birthday celebration and I get more excited every day just thinking about it! I am still trying to think of a super fun way to break the news - sometime in April - when it gets closer to the big day!
